Summary of GOTHIC STRUCTURES AND MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS

Goths are a part of the people who were German and lived in the range of the time between 3-5 A.D. but nowadays they are not just from Germany but millions of people especially teenagers are fans of this subculture made by them but in the modern way of it linked with the newest fashions of the day.
The literature of gothic started in the late 18th century affected by the romantic era of the music mostly made by Germans and then by the people of England. It`s not only affected by that era but it also includes the effects of the novels, fashion, music, folky things, and traditions of the Goths.
In first decades of the 19th century, a lot of German artists, composers and writers started rejecting neo-classical ideals instead of that they tried best to go on through newly romantic aesthetics. These changes took place more in the first half of the 19th century.
Not much longer after that, most of the activities did as they were more affected and related to the composers of the previous generations so it gathered and proved three important factors which are truly important to the modern subculture that world can observe now. These three factors are Balance, regularity and clarity.
During most of fictional works which are influenced by the novels, writing and the art of the fiction romantic novels of those days, music got its place as it had supposed to be, and made an atmosphere which creates narrative tensions and its mystical power as the central role of all.
The second half of the 19th century plays the most touchable name of today`s musical works based on the gothic cultural things and shows how it has been linked among the people, so that they would be able to follow it or not.
In the late 1970s the gothic music which was made on the basis of the classical, folk, and cultural music of ancient days and then came along the new modern themes of music which are mostly Rock and Metal in current days and it`s said that gothic music of today combines everything with darkness, mysteries, fictions, drama and many of these secret making factors.
Today`s gothic music is still keeping all of the effects got from the romantic era and that`s why it can attract lots of attentions between people and as mentioned above more and more in teens. So that they would follow the culture in their own way by keeping the fact of the culture and also its achievements of their own taste.
Soon after world faced with the real modern word of the gothic composition and a lot of bands and musicians started working on this genre and mixed it with desires and different types and tastes which can be go under different subgenres of this kind of music then they developed it to what it is now…
The most known subgenres that most of people listen to are:
-            Gothic rock / gothic metal
-                         Black metal
-                           Cyber-Goth
The current follower styles completely differ in each subgenre but the only similarity can be seen is that they all try to look dark and morbid and mostly use dark colours especially the black colour everywhere. Gothic followers wear gothic and Victorian clothes in black colour in most cases affected by the Goths of the Victorian and Medieval period. They have their own way of make-up and style with black hair, large amounts of eyeliner, pale coloured faces and blackened nails! Black metal followers wear trench coats and use a way of make-up called corpse paint. Cyber-Goths are much more different than these styles mentioned above, as their type of music mostly links to the electronic dance and also trance music which contains a lot of tempo voices inside. Their fashion comes with as the mixture of gothic and punk styles but in such colours like pink, green, blue, etc… and the followers mostly use extra hair pieces in the colours mentioned.
The most famous musicians include Christian death, Alice Cooper, Two witches, Lacrimosa in gothic genre and in black genre Cradle of filth, Immortal, and many more.
